4-player co-op
By expanding the roster from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team mechanics that encourage coordination and strategic class selection. New and improved classes bring different playstyles and tactical options to combat, making every squad combination feel distinct.
Xenomorphs overwhelm with numbers.
The iconic xenomorphs are even more ferocious. The vast variety of new xenomorph species in AFE2 forces you to constantly move, maintain control of the situation, and use every tool at your disposal. From stun batons for close combat in the most desperate moments to fire and electrical ammunition that hold back the xenomorph onslaught, battles can shift from measured tactics to a desperate last stand in a matter of seconds.
The Specialist class—play your way.
In addition to expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist—a fully customizable class that allows you to combine primary and secondary abilities from all available classes. Create a loadout that suits your playstyle and take on any role in your squad.
Horde Mode: Survive the onslaught.
At launch, AFE2 offers several standalone Horde mode maps that test squads' mettle. Battle increasing waves of xenomorphs and other dangerous enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you progress. Here, teamwork and skill are tested to the limit.
